ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera, 43, of the Philippines has collaborated with his fellow Filipino mixed martial artists Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon, 32, Eduard “Landslide” Folayang, 35, and ONE Strawweight World Champion Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 24. The four ONE Championship stars cast their “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang” sessions through Facebook in their new streaming channel Truth x Lakay Gaming.

“Mobile Legends: Bang Bang” is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game that pits a team of five players against another team of five in a head-to-head battle to ultimately capture each others’ bases. Each player picks a hero that he or she controls and to claim victory, players must work as a team.

ONE Championship continues to bring together the unique ecosystems of martial arts end esports. Since establishing ONE Esports in 2019, the organization has revitalized competitive video gaming in Asia, introducing a new major player in the esports sphere.

Also in 2019, Vera started gaming with ONE Esports and a couple of popular gaming live streamers in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. He said, “I believe it was with Rumble Royale and Kuya Pein and Kuya Lex.”

“It has been a lot of fun so far while being at home for now,” Vera continued. He is currently in Guam spending time with his wife Jessica Renee Craven Vera and newborn son Atreyu Timothy Craven Vera.

While Vera is not slated to see action this year, he is expected to defend his title some time in 2021 against former UFC star Arjan “Singh” Bhullar, 34, of India. The reigning ONE Heavyweight World Champion has a lot of time on his hands right now so it is not surprising that his fans can catch him in a public game in “Mobile Legends.”

Vera warned fans he could potentially play with online that he is pretty good at this game. He said, “No one noticed us until we started going live.”

“They didn’t know they were playing with world champions,” Vera continued. “Then everybody wanted to ask me about it. I would say I am in the 80th percentile when I’m playing smart.”
