The United States and Japan were among the 19 countries represented at “ONE: Enter the Dragon” on May 17, 2019. ONE Championship held the combat sports event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.
Featuring 10 mixed martial arts matches and six ONE Super Series contests, which were six kickboxing bouts, “ONE: Enter the Dragon” was the Singapore-based martial arts organization’s second event in 2019 that took place in Singapore. The sixth bout was between Garry “The Lion Killer” Tonon, 27, of New Jersey, USA and Yoshiki Nakahara, 26, of Tokyo, Japan.
Tonon was one of the two representatives of the U.S. at “ONE: Enter the Dragon” while Nakahara was one of the four representatives of Japan. Australia, Argentina, Brazil, China, France, India, Italy, the Republic of Moldova, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and Ukraine were also represented.

Born in Onomichi, Hiroshima, Japan on November 13, 1992, Nakahara is training out of Mach Dojo in Ryugasaki, Ibaraki, Japan. He has been competing professionally since 2012 and is a former Gladiator Featherweight Champion.
“ONE: Enter the Dragon” marked Nakahara’s second ONE Championship bout. When he made his promotional debut at “ONE: Clash of Legends” on February 16, 2019, he defeated Emilio “The Honey Badger” Urrutia, 32, of the U.S.
Red Corner
Born in Lacey Township, New Jersey, USA on September 12, 1991, Tonon represents Team Renzo Gracie and is training out of Evolve MMA in Singapore. He is a multiple-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion.
“ONE: Enter the Dragon” marked Tonon’s sixth ONE Championship bout and fifth professional MMA bout. When he made his promotional debut at “ONE Dynasty of Heroes” on May 26, 2017, he defeated former ONE Lightweight World Champion Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki, 35, of Japan in a grappling bout.
Fight Result
Tonon and Nakahara competed in an MMA match in the featherweight division. Kemp Cheng served as the referee.
Cheng put a stop to the featherweight contest after 55 seconds in the first round. Tonon submitted Nakahara via heel hook.
Winning at “ONE: Enter the Dragon” improved the professional MMA record of Tonon to 5 wins and 0 loss. On the other hand, Nakahara now has 13 wins and 5 losses.
“ONE: Enter the Dragon” Main Events
Both fighting out of the Netherlands, Nieky “The Natural” Holzken, 34, and Regian “The Immortal” Eersel, 25, competed for the inaugural ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Championship in the co-main event. The latter won the title via unanimous decision.
Christian “The Warrior” Lee, 20, of Singapore challenged reigning ONE Lightweight World Championship: Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki, 35, of Japan in the main event. The Singaporean challenger dethroned the Japanese defending champion via technical knockout.
