Thailand and Australia were among the 16 countries represented at “ONE: For Honor.” It was the second ONE Championship event in 2019 that took place in Indonesia.
Featuring 10 mixed martial arts matches and four ONE Super Series contests, which are four Muay Thai bouts, “ONE: For Honor” took place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 4, 2019. The 11th bout of the evening was between Yodpanomrung “The Lightning Knee” Jitmuangnon, 24, of Thailand and Tyler Hardcastle, 22, of Perth, Western Australia, Australia.
Yodpanomrung was one of the two fighters who represented Thailand at “ONE: For Honor” while Hardcastle solely represented Australia. Cambodia, China, India, England, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Russia, Scotland, South Korea and the United States were also represented.
Blue Corner
Originally from Doncaster, England, Hardcastle moved to Australia with his family. He is training out of Riddler’s Gym in Perth.
Hardcastle was born on July 17, 1996. He made his ONE Super Series debut at “ONE: For Honor.”
Red Corner
Yodpanomrung was 9 years old when he started his Muay Thai training. He multiple Muay Thai World Championship titles including those from World Professional Muaythai Federation, World Muaythai Council, Omnoi and Channel 7 Stadium.
“ONE: For Honor” marked Yodpanomrung’s second ONE Super Series bout. When he made his debut in the league at “ONE: Conquest of Heroes” on September 22, 2018 at the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, he lost via split decision to “The Funky Drummer” Fabrice Fairtex Delannon, 36, of French Guiana.
Fight Results
Yodpanomrung and Hardcastle competed in an Muay Thai contest in the bantamweight division. Atsushi Onari served as the referee.
Onari put a stop to the contest after 2 minutes and 11 seconds in the third round. Yodpanomrung knocked out Hardcastle.
Winning at “ONE: For Honor” improved the professional Muay Thai record of Yodpanomrung to 231 wins, 69 losses and 2 draws. On the other hand, Hardcastle has 24 wins and 9 losses.
