England and India were among the 11 countries represented at “Brave 20: Hyderabad” at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India on December 22, 2018. It was the second event of Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation to take place in India.
“Brave 20: Hyderabad” featured 10 MMA matches. The seventh bout of the evening was between Micol di Segni, 30, of Rome, Italy and Maria “Wonder Woman” Ribeiro, 26, of Sinop, Mato Grosso, Brazil.
Both di Segni and Ribeiro made their respective Brave CF debuts at “Brave 20: Hyderabad.” Their match was the only female bout of the evening and di Segni and Ribeiro were the only representatives from Italy and Brazil, respectively.

Ribeiro has been competing since 2016. She is training out CM System in Curitiba, Brazil.
The CM System athlete won his first two professional MMA bouts in Para Regional via submission. Prior to “Brave 20: Hyderabad,” she was submitted by Daniela Maria da Silva via anaconda choke at “Nação Cyborg 3” on September 29, 2018.

Di Segni was born in Rome on December 29, 1987. She made her professional MMA debut at “EFC Worldwide 44” on October 3, 2015 with a unanimous decision victory over Danella Eliasov of Northcliff, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Before “Brave 20: Hyderabad,” di Segni faced Cory McKenna of England at “Cage Warriors 97” on September 29, 2018. The Italian fighter won via split decision.
Fight Result
Ribeiro and di Segni competed in the women’s strawweight division at “Brave 20: Hyderabad.” The referee put a stop to the contest in the first round when the Italian contender was knocked out by her Brazilian opponent via strikes.
Winning at “Brave 20: India” improved Ribeiro’s professional MMA record to 5 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, di Segni now has 6 wins and 2 losses.
“Brave 20: India” Main Events
In the co-main event of the evening, John Brewin, 24, of Auckland, New Zealand faced Anas Siraj “The Moroccan Sensation” Mounir, 32, of Morocco in the lightweight division. After three five-minute rounds, the Moroccan fighter won via unanimous decision.
In the main event, Khamzat “Borz” Chimaev of Sweden and Sidney “The All-American Kid” Wheeler, 22, of Dalton, Georgia competed in the middleweight division. The Swedish fighter knocked out his American opponent in the first round.
