India and Afghanistan were among the 11 countries that will be represented at “Brave 20: Hyderabad” at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India on December 22, 2018. It was the second event of Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation to take place in India.
“Brave 20: Hyderabad” featured nine MMA matches. The third bout of the evening was between two promotional debutantes Nidhin Koshy of India and Farhad Hazratzada of Afghanistan.
Hazratzada was the only Afghan fighter on the fight card. India was represented by Koshy, Sarabit Singh, Satya Behuria, Satendar Bankura, Kushal Vyas, Angad Bisht, Mandeep Singh, Nelson Paes and Kantharaj Shankar.

Born in Gardiz, Paktia, Afghanistan, Hazratzada has been competing professionally since 2016. He previously competed in six Super Fight League bouts before joining Brave CF.
Hazratzada was coming out of a unanimous decision against David Moon of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The two battled it out at “SFL 2018 Semifinals- Old Scores to Settle: Haryana Sultans vs. U.P. Nawabs” at the Famous Studios in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India on March 11, 2018.

Originally from Panjim, Goa, India, Koshy currently resides in Bangalore, India. Aside from martial arts, he is also into the fighting video game “Tekken.”
Koshy is a Muay Thai instructor. In 2016, he participated in the All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation Nationals in Mumbai, India.
Fight Result
Koshy and Hazratzada battled it out in the lightweight division at “Brave 20: Hyderabad.” The referee put a stop to the contest in the second round when the Afghan fighter knocked out his Indian opponent.
Winning at “Brave 20: India” improved Hazratzada’s professional MMA record to 5 wins and 2 losses. Meanwhile, Koshy now has 0 win and 1 loss.
“Brave 20: India” Main Events
In the co-main event of the evening, John Brewin, 24, of Auckland, New Zealand faced Anas Siraj “The Moroccan Sensation” Mounir, 32, of Morocco in the lightweight division. After three five-minute rounds, the Moroccan fighter won via unanimous decision.
In the main event, Khamzat “Borz” Chimaev of Sweden and Sidney “The All-American Kid” Wheeler, 22, of Dalton, Georgia competed in the middleweight division. The Swedish fighter knocked out his American opponent in the first round.
