
Kenny Tse, Olivier Coste, Petchdam Gaiyanghadao
On October 6, 2018, Petchdam Gaiyanghadao, 20, of Bangkok, Thailand competed in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series for the second time. He was one of the seven Thai athletes who competed at “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” at the Impact Arena in Bangkok.
“ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” featured eight ONE Super Series contests and six mix martial arts bouts. In the third bout of the evening, Petchdam competed in a Muay Thai bout in the flyweight division against Kenny “The Pitbull” Tse, 23, of China and Melbourne, Australia.
Referee Olivier Coste put a stop to the Muay Thai flyweight bout between Petchdam and Tse at 1:26 in the first round. The Thai contender knocked out his Chinese opponent.
The win at “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” improved Petchdam’s professional record to 92 wins, 13 losses and 7 draws. On the other hand, Tse’s professional Muay Thai record downgraded to 39 wins and 6 losses.
In the co-main event of the evening, Stamp Fairtex, 20, of Pattaya, Thailand became the new ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Champion by dethroning Kai Ting “Killer Bee” Chuang, 23, of Chinese Taipei. The Thai challenger won via unanimous decision.
In the main event, reigning World Boxing Council Super Flyweight World Champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, 31, of Sisaket, Thailand and his challenger Iran “MagnifiKO” Diaz, 28, of Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico competed in 12 rounds of boxing. The Thai defending champion retained his title by winning via unanimous decision.
